Ziyad Abduljawad is the founder, chairman and creative force behind PLC. His entrepreneurial skills, real estate development expertise and sense of timing led to the formation of PLC and its various companies in early 1996. Mr. Abduljawad’s structuring of the Chevron Land acquisition, totaling more than $120 million, positioned the newly formed PLC as a major player in the California real estate development marketplace during its first year of operation.
Concurrent with that transaction, Mr. Abduljawad put together a team of renowned real estate executive specialists to direct PLC’s diverse interests in planned community development, apartment development and property management.
Ziyad Abduljawad’s philosophy of integrity, quality, and value for investors and customers alike is embodied in the corporate practices and the track record of outstanding profitability at PLC.

Christopher C. Gibbs

Chris Gibbs has been responsible for the planning, financing, design, construction, marketing and sales of over 10,000 homes throughout southern California, Florida and Texas. For more than 30 years, his new-home neighborhoods and planned communities have earned regional and national building awards for design, merchandising, marketing and sales excellence.
Mr. Gibb’s leadership and in-depth experience in both land development and homebuilding have been integral to the success of the PLC Land Company and PLC Christopher Homes operations. Outstanding marketing acceptance and profitability have accompanied the development of PLC Land’s initial planned communities at Huntington Seacliff in Huntington Beach and Westridge in La Habra. For PLC Christopher Homes, the ongoing superior quality and craftsmanship of the renowned Christopher Homes product continue the company’s tradition of solid value, customer satisfaction and repeat purchases.

Dan O’Bannon
Chief Financial Officer
PLC Christopher Homes
Mr. O’Bannon has over 25 years of experience in real estate accounting and finance and has been with the PLC Group of Companies since their inception. His responsibilities include managing lender and joint venture relationships, financial reporting and treasury functions. Prior to PLC, he was with the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen in the firm’s real estate practice and has held financial positions with other major homebuilders. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a California Real Estate Broker’s license. Dan graduated from Claremont McKenna College, cum laude, with a BA in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting.
Jeff Rulon
Vice President, Director of Operations
PLC Christopher Homes
Mr. Rulon joined PLC and Christopher Homes in 1994 and has over 25 years of experience in homebuilding and land development. Jeff has held responsibilities and experiences ranging from financial analyst to project management and construction. Prior to joining PLC/Christopher Jeff worked for J. M. Peters Company from 1988 to 1994 working in similar capacities. Jeff graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in Business with a Finance emphasis.
Philip Yasskin
Vice President, Director of Marketing and Sales

Mr. Yasskin offers more than 40 years of executive sales and marketing management including a four-year stint as division president for a major public homebuilder. He joined PLC and Christopher homes over 10 years ago. Prior company associations include Macco Leadership Homes in Newport Beach, Levitt & Sons of California, Urban West Communities of Santa Monica and the J. M Peters Company of Newport Beach. Phil is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a BS in Business majoring in Real Estate and Finance and holds a California Real Estate Broker’s license.
Mark Thomas
Vice President Land Acquisitions

With over 25 years of banking and real estate development experience, Mark Thomas’ background includes six years at William Lyon Homes, where his responsibilities focused on land acquisition, entitlement, and project management. Prior to William Lyon Homes, Mark worked for Catellus Residential Group Southern California in Land Acquisition. From 1987 to 1996, Mark specialized in real estate construction finance for Union Bank of California. Mark has a BA from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from University California Irvine.
Bill Holman
Land Development
PLC Christopher Homes
Bill has been active in real estate planning, development and construction in Southern California for more than 30 years. He has been closely involved with the successful planning, entitlement and development of large scale master planned communities in Huntington Beach, La Habra, Brea, Azusa and Riverside County. Bill has worked effectively with local municipal and county governments, state and federal agencies to implement major residential and retail development projects. Areas of expertise include due diligence and title investigations, environmental impact assessment and mitigation, planning, engineering, budgeting and project scheduling, permitting, documentation and management. Bill also has extensive experience with forming and organizing community support groups and homeowner's associations to ensure successful project approval, development and operations. Bill is a graduate of the University of California Irvine with a BS in Social Ecology. Prior to joining Christopher Development Group in 1996, he worked for the City of Huntington Beach Planning Department, Huntington Beach Company and Chevron Land and Development Company.
Durry Atassi
Vice President of Planning and Design
PLC Arabia
Mr. Atassi is a professional Civil Engineer licensed in California and Arizona with 26 years experience in land development projects. Durry’s main strength is in the infrastructure, grading and roadways work of the land development projects, he has managed the design of many residential (high and low density), commercial, and mixed use projects from initial planning and feasibility studies through final design, construction and construction management.
Mr. Atassi worked with international firms such Jacobs, Parsons, and SOM as well as the well managed municipalities such as Royal Commission of Jubail Project. Durry’s diverse background along with his superb communication and leadership skills make him a valuable asset to the growth and development of PLC Arabia.
Muhammed Hashem
Vice President of Building Development
PLC Arabia
Mr. Hashem has a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of the building industry, particularly in the construction management; he has designed, built, developed and marketed buildings. With his Masters of Science in Real Estate Development from Colombia University and his AIA Design Excellence Award; Mr. Hashem’s professional career expands over 31 years of design, management and construction management of buildings. Mr. Hashem has worked on some mega projects in both the Middle East region as well as the United States. His work reflects precision in design, high quality in finishes with superb attention to details. Mr. Hashem carries on his work with passion and ethics whenever he goes.
